John has been involved in community arts schemes for over forty years working with young people, the elderly, dementia patients, prisoners and out on the streets with whoever happens to have been passing by.

He has been used by councils to create sketches to raise public awareness of their campaigns. Most recently he wrote and produced a short piece of street theatre to promote South Cambridgeshire’s ‘Love Food Hate Waste’ campaign.

His text collecting projects have been used by community groups from rural East Anglia to the heart of Birmingham collecting memories and giving voice to people’s visions for their own area.

For three years he worked on Momentum Arts’ ground breaking ‘Being Here’ project.

For the last three years he has been developing a ‘Comic Life’ project with Alistair Fruish which has been particularly successful with Father’s and family groups

He  creates programmes and finds other artists to suit the clients needs.
